I love a park playdate and I especially love that one involves a treat that you can easily walk to. I know sometimes I get in a rut of where to go, so I’ve compiled a list of parks with food/beverage nearby to help you plan the ultimate park playdate!
Hubbards Woods Park | Winnetka
You have three fun food options here: Towne & Oak, Graeter’s Ice Cream and Once Upon a Bagel. All are delicious and unique to each other depending on your vibe. Plus, Hubbard Woods Park is always a fan favorite park and even more fun when the splash pad is on!
Dywer Park | Winnetka
Grab True Juice or Peet’s coffee before a playdate at Dwyer Park. We also like to pick-up tacos from La Taquiza for a dinner picnic in the park.
Village Green Park | Winnetka
Visit Hometown‘s Winnetka location or Mitch’s Cookies and then head east to the Village Green Park to enjoy a fun playground and plenty of room to run around!
Friends Park | Glencoe
Friends park is centrally located to everything in downtown Glencoe! I’d go to Hometown, True Juice or Foodstuffs for fuel and treats!
Maple Park | Wilmette
Visit Alchemy Coffee & Bake House for latte and scone before walking over to Maple Park for a playdate.
Townley Park | Kenilworth
What’s a better combo than Homer’s Ice Cream and a park date? Also, Townley Park is parallel to the Kenilworth train station and it’s always fun for little ones to see the trains pass by.
Jackman Park | Glenview
This park is so much fun and depending on the time of day we love going to nearby Glenview Dairy Bar or Joe Donut. Also close to the park is Blended and Glenview Grind.
Clarkson Park | Northfield
Pick up one of Three Tarts Cafe’s easy & delicious lunch combos (or anything from there!) and head to Clarkson Park, a newly built park and splash pad.
Langdon Park | Wilmette
This park has beautiful views of Lake Michigan and the Starbucks at Plaza Del Lago is an easy walk! Also nearby is Rosati’s for pizza and Clucker’s Charcoal Chicken if you want to pick-up food for a park picnic. Also worth exploring nearby is Elmwood Dunes Preserve.
Village Green Park | Northbrook
In the heart of downtown Northbrook is a fun park with lots of space to roam and it’s dangerously close to Graeter’s Ice Cream.
Independence Park | Evanston
Independence Park is located right on Central Avenue, so there is no shortage of restaurants and stores to pop into. We love visiting Backlot Coffee their coffee and breakfast empanadas are the best! Also across the street is Foodstuffs.
