Indoor birthday party season is here! Below are some fun ideas to celebrate your little one’s birthday inside during the cold months.
A great resource to look into is your local park district or community center for birthday party ideas.
Go Ice Skating – Lace up your skates and celebrate at the Winnetka Ice Arena, Centennial Ice Rink or the Weinberg Family Recreation Center.
Cooking fun – Get those littles in the kitchen with a cooking class at Tastebuds Kitchen. Choose from items and they’ll do kitchen games and activities too! Feed & entertain them in one swoop.
See a movie – You can rent out a movie theater for a one-of-a-kind birthday experience. Try The Wilmette Theater, CMX Old Orchard or AMC Northbrook Court.
Go Bowling – Your child’s party will be a strike at Wilmette Bowl or Pinstripes.
Have a Dance Party – Snap, Rootz, Soul 2 Sole and R&B Dance Center are all great options for dance parties.
Make Jewelry – Make necklaces or bracelets at Sweet Buddha. This venue also offers slime making, custom t-shirts, paint or dance party too!
Tea Party – Deer Path Inn is the perfect spot for a celebration tea party, pinkies up!
Spa Party – For Caroline’s 4th birthday party we did a manicure party at Pinkalicious in Wilmette. A few other spots to host Allure, Girlfriends or Oak Spa Nails. A fun idea is to invite a princess character to read or do face paint while some kids are getting their nails done.
Express your artistic side – You can have a guided art project at Artzy Twinz. Or paint a pottery creations at The Painted Penguin or Color Me Mine!
Do a Science Project – Kids Science Lab is the best spot for this!
Get moving! – Hi-Five Sports Club has endless sports and games options for a birthday party. You can also do the fun zone at Funtopia or play in the 10,000 sq ft Wilmette Gymnastics facility. The Little Gym or Kid Motion is always a hit and for the older crew Ultimate Ninjas!
What’s a birthday party without balloons? I love Bashy Bash for celebratory balloons and paper goods. For goody bags enlist Susie’s Sugar Buzz to create the most adorable and sweet party favors.
