Since moving into our new house last December our list of interior projects seems to be never ending. The smaller projects are the ones I tend to put off most, but I have learned those small ones can have the biggest impact. I am so excited to share an amazing way you can easily create beautiful spaces both big & small in your home…
The mudroom is ground zero at our house. When we moved in we had the walls painted using Benjamin Moore’s Classic Grey and all of the cubbies and our little built-in bench painted a crisp white. Our favorite spot is the built-in bench and cloth boards that house Caroline & Campbell’s art work. The bench is where we sit to put on our shoes, slather on sunscreen and of course eat snacks before we make our way out the door! Without a cushion every single scratch was showing and it wasn’t the most comfortable spot. Knowing I needed to tackle this one-off project I connected with the talented duo behind Interior Agency.
Interior Agency creates custom pillows, window treatments, wallcoverings, reupholstering and offers paint consultations. They do custom work with no hourly fee and no minimums. IA is also very transparent on pricing for all projects, which I really appreciate! Let me tell you about the easy process…
- Style profile – First, I filled out a style profile online & told IA about my style preferences & dislikes, so they could get to know our home’s aesthetic. Within 24 hrs I got my style results back which confirmed IA understood my vision.
- Collaborate – Next I uploaded photos of the space, sent measurements of the bench & shared my desired budget.
- Samples – IA sent a moodboard using their discerning design eye while taking into account my style profile and project goals. Since the mudroom bench is a high traffic spot we opted for fabrics that are wipeable and a vinyl welt for a little accent and durability! Fabric samples were sent directly to my house which allowed me to see and touch the fabrics to ensure they were the right fit.
- Selection – We finalized the materials selected and I approved the project to move forward.
- Creation –ย IA sent a trusted partner to measure my space to make sure the pillow would be the correct size for the space. Before I knew it my custom piece was delivered!
Now my mudroom now has the most perfect and practical piece that ties the space together! I love the stripe print, colors and mixing of materials that they suggested. The process was truly so easy and enjoyable. Interior Agency can help with projects big and small. Next up on my list is window treatments for Caroline’s bedroom!
Interior Agency‘s Offerings:
Paint consultation – The right paint color can transform a room. The hard part is finding that color! IA offers a (15) minute phone session to discuss your needs. Color sheets are sent directly to your home with the option of a (15) minute FaceTime to answer any questions or concerns.
Pillows – Use custom pillows to showcase your unique style! Details matter, so we outlined some different sizes and finishes that are available with customization. I love the visual pillow size guide on their website!
Reupholstering – Donโt throw away your family heirlooms or well-loved furniture! We will help you source the right fabrics and tradespeople to breathe new life into your pieces!
Wallcovering – Great decorating is all about layering. Wallpaper livens up your space by adding pattern, color and texture to the walls. There is a calculator on IA’s site to estimate rolls/yardage needed, such a great tool!
Window treatments – Custom window treatments deliver form and function. Not only do they finish a room, window treatments provide security, block unwanted sun and are energy efficient.
