Happy 3 to my CC girl! We had the best morning safely celebrating Caroline’s 3rd birthday with our family and friends!
First, you should know the birthday girl loves Stan’s donuts. Every morning Kevin asks Caroline what she dreamt about last night and 9 out of 10 times the answer is donuts. We thought it would be fun to create a front yard drive-by donut shop to have a covid safe celebration. Along with the invitation we sent a sign-up genius link and had people register for 10 minute time slots. Although 10 minutes sounds short, it was enough time to grab a delicious Stan’s donut, warm beverage and say hi to the bday girl without having to endure the cold for too long. All while keeping people feeling safe and social distancing.
The Stan’s Donuts truck dropped off the freshly baked donuts the morning of the festivities. We had an assortment of flavors that were individually wrapped for a grab & go morning treat! I always love their pistachio glazed and red velvet flavor and the little ones loved the rainbow sprinkled ones! We also had cartons of their delicious coffee and hot chocolate for guests to sip on.
Can we talk about the decorations and party favors? Made by Ilyssa made me look like I am a crafty Pinterest mom, which I am 100% not. I give credit where credit is due and Made by Ilyssa did an incredible job with the party supplies. She envisioned the donut balloon and it was the perfect piece of decor to bring our donut party to life! She also created an adorable custom glittery birthday banner for the bday girl. Every guest left with a “make your own donut” craft. I loved giving a fun craft as a parting gift instead of another tchotchke item. Plus, with quarantine life we’re always looking for a fun activity to do at home. I loved getting texts from friends the rest of the day showing their kids making the donut craft. Made by Ilyssa also makes adorable cake/cupcake toppers, invitations and balloons.
It was such a special morning and the birthday girl had the best day! P.S. if you’re not local to Stan’s Donuts they ship via Goldbelly, yum!
